Fans & Air Coolers

Beldray Fans & Air Coolers - Frequently Asked Questions

The type of fan you should buy depends on your needs. There are many different types of fans available, from handheld fans to air coolers. Consider your budget, your room size and layout, and airflow needs when shopping for a fan. You may also want to consider a fan with features such as variable speed control, adjustable tilt, or remote control, depending on your preferences.

A desk fan is a small fan that sits on a desk, table, or other flat surface and has adjustable speeds to control the airflow. They are smaller in size, perfect for cooling personal spaces or for directing airflow at a more pinpointed location.

A pedestal fan, or standing fan, is a typically taller device that stands on a pedestal to raise it from the floor. These fans can be adjustable to direct airflow to certain areas or offer an oscillating head which turns from side to side automatically. They are typically used to provide a cooling breeze in medium-sized rooms. Similarly, tower fans direct air flow through a longer column shaped design.

An air cooler is often larger than a standing or tower fan and works by evaporating water to cool the air. The air cooler pulls warm air from the room through a vent at the back of the unit. The air is then passed through a saturated cooling pad which has been soaked in water. The warm air evaporates some of the water in the pad, thereby cooling the air. The cooled air is then circulated back into the room as a cooling breeze; they are not designed to significantly reduce the room temperature.
